Standing for What You Believe In
The concept for Voyce Threads emerged from a children’s book. Author and founder, Drew Shaw, identified an opportunity to educate the community on the positive forces often unseen, working on the behalf of our community. In short, we could use more talk about things that really matter.
Voyce Threads hopes that what’s on your feet could prompt and empower individuals to have meaningful conversations. Every time someone puts on a pair of Voyce socks, they become an ambassador for the cause that inspired the sock’s design. So, go out there and cause a conversation – there’s plenty to talk about!
When creating the mark, we took heavy inspiration from the brand persona; someone who gives regularly, loves unconditionally, and showcases elegance in a bold way. A modern abstraction of a red rose expresses these three pillars beautifully.
The mark is recognizable and distinct, while allowing the one of a kind designs to speak even louder. After all, this brand literally stands for others first.
The color system called for the same intention and simplicity as the logo, something that speaks confidence without shouting. A monochromatic approach anchored by a deep red was a clear favorite to show the brand's unwavering focus and passion to give back.
The brand typeface echos the forms of rose petals, with high contrast between form and space. When both are applied to the brand experience, they elevate the giving nature the logo and name embody.
Drew Shaw unveiled Voyce Threads to a full house in Fall of 2018. He and his team continue to impress through their creative executions, humbling positivity and admirable surety toward the causes they hold close.
